Every teacher does it a little differently. For policy information and details, please contact me.

I use Faber Piano Adventures Lesson and Theory books for younger years along with supplementary materials and incentives to create a solid, fun and interactive foundation for music understanding.

Older ages and levels will have a few more options. Some choose to study and/or take exams with the Royal Conservatory of Music, participate in festivals, or take a more laid back approach with supplementary music. Regardless of the focus however, each student will be exposed to technique, theory, a certain amount of classical music, composing, chording, and listening.

Read my blog post here on all you need to know about RCM.

  • A three-ring folder or binder per student

  • Loose leaf paper in the binder

  • A pencil

  • The piano books you are currently using ready and easy to find at the beginning of the lesson
